Native to Central America and Mexico as well as some parts of South America. Ionantha’s start off as a small plant with green and silver-hued leaves. As the plant grows and matures, the leaves begin to extend outward, while turning to a deeper shade of green. When the bloom cycle begins, the leaves start to turn to a beautiful red/pink color. Ionantha varieties love sunlight so they should be kept in an area that gets adequate light throughout the day. We recommend soaking the plant once a week or misting them a few times a week.
