Native to Yucatán Mexico and Guatemala, Tillandsia streptophylla are curly, irregular tillandsia with thick, pastel-green leaves. The name "streptophylla" means "with twisted leaves," and this unique and curly species is considered to be a xeric Tillandsia, meaning it thrives in drier conditions. When the leaves are more dehydrated, they curl up into tight ringlets. When in bloom this beauty grows a gorgeous, light purple inflorescence that is frosted with trichomes. Because this plant is xeric it can tolerate less frequent watering. Likes bright filtered light and will get some blushing on the foliage in brighter light. It is a warm grower and prefers to be 50 degrees Fahrenheit or warmer.

Although the actual bouquet may not precisely match the photo, its temperament will. Occasionally, substitutions of flowers and/or containers happen due to weather, seasonality and market conditions which may affect availability.
